The Elephant and the Dragon Member Giveaway Rules
Elephant and Dragon Giveaway Rules and Regulations:
1. PROMOTION PERIOD - The entry period for this promotion is from April 30, 2008 until September 30, 2008. One winner will be randomly selected from the list of active members of the IT&T SIG on the first day of the month at 12:00 PM Central time for May thru October of 2008.
2. WHERE TO REGISTER / RENEW: You may register by completing the online registration/renewal process that is established and managed by PMI or by mailing your registration form to PMI.
3. HOW TO ENTER: In order to be entered in the promotion, please register or renew your membership to the IT&T SIG of PMI.
4. HOW TO CLAIM A PRIZE: The IT&T SIG will notify the winning party within 60 business days via email. If you are not reachable during that time, the SIG will also try to establish contact via regular mail. Should the winner(s) not respond for a period of 30 days from initial attempted contact, the prize will be re-awarded.
5. PRIZE LIMITS: Each participant will be eligible to win only 1 prize.
6. ELIGIBILITY: You must be twenty-one (21) years of age of older.
Winners are subject to the legal requirements of their country of residence.
Employees of PMI, IT&T SIG volunteers suppliers, printers, sponsors and the immediate family members of the above mentioned individuals (parent, child, sibling, spouse) and/or persons living in the same household as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to win. No groups, clubs or organizations can participate in this promotion on behalf of the group, club or organization.
7. GENERAL CONDITIONS: No substitution of prize other than what is stated above is offered, no transfer of prize to a third party permitted and non-cash prizes are not redeemable for cash value. Prize recipients are responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, if any, on prize. All participants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and decisions of Sponsor and its authorized judging agencies (the “Judges”). Non-compliance with these Official Rules will result in disqualification. You are not a winner until your Code has been submitted and verified in accordance with these Official Rules, and you have fully complied with these Official Rules.
8. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: NEITHER SPONSOR NOR THE PROMOTION PARTIES ASSUME ANY RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY FOR (A) ANY INCORRECT OR INACCURATE ENTRY INFORMATION, OR FOR ANY FAULTY OR FAILED ELECTRONIC DATA TRANSMISSIONS; (B) ANY TECHNICAL MALFUNCTION, FAILURE, ERROR, OMISSION, INTERRUPTION, DELETION, DEFECT, DELAY IN OPERATION OR COMMUNICATIONS LINE FAILURE, REGARDLESS OF CAUSE, WITH REGARD TO ANY EQUIPMENT, SYSTEMS, NETWORKS, LINES, SATELLITES, SERVERS, COMPUTERS OR PROVIDERS UTILIZED IN ANY ASPECT OF THE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION; (C) INACCESSIBILITY OR UNAVAILABILITY OF THE INTERNET OR THE WEB SITE OR ANY COMBINATION THEREOF; (D) ANY INJURY OR DAMAGE TO PARTICIPANTS OR TO ANY OTHER PERSON’S COMPUTER WHICH MAY BE RELATED TO OR RESULTING FROM ANY ATTEMPT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROMOTION; (E) ANY DEFECTS OR QUALITY ISSUES WITH THE PRIZE.
This promotion is being conducted by the IT&T SIG. Robyn Meredith, W. W. Norton and The PROJECT MANAGEMENT INSTISTUTE HAVE NO LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY PORTION OF THIS PROMOTION.
9. CONDUCT OF PARTICIPATION: Participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Judges which shall be final and binding in all respects. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the operation of the promotion, or to be acting in any manner deemed by Sponsor to be in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in any manner deemed by Sponsor to be disruptive, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
10. RELEASE OF LIABILITY: All winners, by acceptance of a Prize, agree to release the IT&T SIG and its respective officers, directors, volunteers, representatives and agents from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses of any kind to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the Prize, or any typographical or other error in the Official Rules or the offering or announcement of any prize. The IT&T SIG does is not responsible for any warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, concerning the appearance, safety or performance of the Prize.
Winners will be required to submit a digital photograph of themselves holding their prize within 30 days of receiving it. This digital photograph will be posted on the IT&T SIG website as part of a post promotion promotion. Winner agrees to allow the IT&T SIG full rights to use the photograph in digital, web or print format for a period of three years.
