Mr. Laurentiu Hirsescu is the Manager of UMT Scholarship Program under the functional leadership of Vasilj Petrovic, VP Professional Development.

Laurentiu is a PMP and has a vast experience in the IT and Telecom software development industry and project management. He has proven experience in outsourcing/off shoring environment factors management, operational management, executing contracts, and integrating various activities toward deploying software products on the market.

He holds an Engineer's Degree in Computer Science and a Master in Business Administration.

Currently, Laurentiu works as project manager for VisionMAX - an IT consultancy company, located in Toronto(GTA), Canada.
VisionMAX is a systems integration and custom software development company that ties together legacy systems, quickly builds new functionality, and allows users to access the system through multiple delivery channels (web browser, telephone IVR, mobile devices)

Laurentiu lives in Toronto with his wife andhis little son.

In reference to his volunteer work for the PMI-IT&T SIG, Laurentiu strongly believes in the value of continuing education, especially graduate programs. In this new role, as Manager of the UMT Scholarship Program,his mission will be to provide IT&T SIG members with professional career growth opportunities, through the courses offered by the University of Management and Technology.
