Being a PMP and an Agile Project Manager—Can You Do Both?
You have to be a member to view this video.
This webinar is specifically aimed at traditionally trained software project managers who are new to Agile, and who would like to be able to relate the Project Management Institute's (PMI) best practices to their equivalent practices in Agile. As a result of being able to associate many of these new Agile ideas to things that are already familiar, the listener can begin their Agile journey with a new shared lexicon and knowledge of general Agile concepts. In addition to the mapping of the PMBOK Guide® knowledge areas to Agile practices, there is also focus on how the job of the traditional project manager is re-defined into a new, and often more important role in the Agile development process.
Michele Sliger & Stacia Broderick
Michele Sliger is the co-author of The Software Project Manager's Bridge to Agility. She has extensive experience in agile software development, having transitioned to Scrum and XP practices in 2000 after starting her career following the traditional waterfall approach.
Stacia Broderick has worked as a project manager for 14 years in commercial manufacturing and software development. Stacia was fortunate enough to be cast in the role of ScrumMaster in 2003, and ever since has helped teams all over the world embrace the principles of and transition to agile.
